The Ecosoft SGC1, Ecosoft SGC2 and Ecosoft P1-meter are able to communicate with these inverters via the ModBus protocol. According to documentation and our testing, we expect that these Ecosoft products are able to control the following inverters:

Ecosoft P1-meter and Smart Grid Controller 1
Inverters with TCP communication (via ethernet)
Inverters with RTU communication (via a converter)

Smart Grid Controller 2
Inverters with TCP communication (via ethernet)
Inverters with RTU communication (via RS-486, a converter is not needed)

These inverters communicate with the SGC1, SGC2 and P1-meters via ethernet and WiFi.

Communication via ModBus protocol and RTU interface

Ecosoft Smart Grid Controller 2
De Ecosoft SGC2 communicates directly with these inverters via a RS-485 connection. Data is exchanged via ModBus (RTU).

Ecosoft Smart Grid Controller 1 and Ecosoft P1-meter
The Ecosoft P1-meter and SGC-2 are able to communicate with these inverters via a converter. The inverter sends data to the converter via RTU. The converter forwards data via TCP. Purchase a ModBus converter which converts between RTU and TCP. Consult the data of the inverter to find out which converter you actually need. For example, a converter may have an RS232 or RS485 connector. This is an example of an RS485 to ethernet converter.
